How Do I Find the Right Dose?
To be safe, prescription medication should be taken exactly as directed by your doctor. Your doctor can figure out which dose is right for you based on your BMI and current weight, your medical history, your weight loss goals and other factors.
The recommended starting dose for Tenuate is usually 25 mg, taken 3 times a day. A mid-evening dose may also be taken to combat late night food cravings. As an alternative, Tenuate Dospan can be taken once a day, in the 75 mg, controlled-release form.
Remember to talk with your doctor if you're not getting the results from Tenuate that you expect.
